1. Red Barn Grill & Bakery
Red Barn Grill & Bakery has a little bit of everything on its menu, so there’s definitely something for everyone. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner 6 days a week (closed on Sundays), this restaurant is known for its down-home country cooking. You’ve got to try their honey butter mini croissants, and they also make the best chicken and dumplings in town!
2. JoJack’s Smokehouse
World-class BBQ and Southern hospitality at its finest– that’s what you get at JoJack’s Smokehouse! Not only do they serve incredible barbeque with homemade sides and desserts, but their mission is also to support local rescue organizations. JoJack’s got its name from one of the founder’s 2 rescue pups, JoJo and Jackie O, and a portion of their profits goes directly to area rescues. What better way to support local than by helping a locally owned and operated restaurant that partners with local shelters?!
3. Nardello’s
Located in the historic square of downtown Mt. Pleasant, Nardello’s Pizza Tavern occupies the former Rogers Sisters Hardware Store. This 1930s building has been lovingly restored and is an ode to its past and the rich history of the town. In addition to their full menu, you’ll also find daily lunch specials, weekly chef dinner specials, and a weekend brunch menu. The bar also features craft beer, a wide variety of wines, house cocktails, and seasonal drinks. A couple of our favorite menu items include their wood-fired pizza, Italian hero sandwich, and the salmon fettuccine.
4. Laura’s Cheesecake & Cafe
Another one of the best restaurants in Mt. Pleasant TX is right next to Nardello’s– Laura’s Cheesecake & Cafe! As the name suggests, this restaurant makes delicious gourmet cheesecakes that you can order by the slice or whole made-to-order cheesecakes in addition to other sweets like cookies, cupcakes, and breads. Their regular menu features a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, like biscuits and gravy, breakfast skillets and wraps, soups, salads, and more!
